Optical commonly used thread size standard

This is the unique thread of Thorlabs in the United States, not the commonly used optical thread. SM is the code for the thread of the sewing machine in terms of thread expression, but this company in the United States uses it to connect the internal and external threads of the optical lens and the sleeve. The nature of the thread is UNS, and the United States has a special thread with a tolerance accuracy of 2A / 2B. The special place of this thread is 40 teeth per inch regardless of the diameter. Description

(1)The CXYZ2-M series translation mounts have translation strokes of X, Y and Z axes, and the XY stroke allows objects in the system to move vertically ±3mm along the optical axis. There are two drive modes: micrometer and differential drive. The Z-axis travel is ±2mm to compensate for focusing errors in applications such as fiber alignment or lens mounting.

(2)The mount bracket has SM1 (1.035'-40) threads and a CSK3 retaining ring, which can mount Ø1" optical components up to 10.5mm thick.

(3)The adjustment dial on the back of the rotary mount can be translated along the Z axis. The dial is laser engraved with a "telescopic" arrow indicating the direction of rotation used to translate the mount forward and backward. The telescopic sleeve portion of the mount also has laser-engraved marks at 0.5mm intervals to indicate the Z-axis translation position.

(4) The four through holes of the mount can be used with our Ø6mm rods, making them compatible with our 60mm cage system. There are set screws on the side of the cage rod mounting holes, use a 1.6mm hexagon wrench to lock the fixed position.

(5) There are 2 M6 threaded holes on the opposite side of the XY adjuster, which is easy to install the post application.
